It´s also defined by the way people treat each other and the values that show up in a day-to-day life. Social impact, for us, is about encouraging actions that feel natural to our team, reflect who we are, and contribute to something beyond work.
Every year, we organize volunteering actions that take place right in our office – including blood donation drives and food collections to support local families and organizations. These are low-barrier ways for people to get involved, and they´ve become recurring moments that many of us look forward to. Outside the office, some team members take part in hackathons focused on solving social or community-related challenges.
Well-being also matter to us. One tradition that started informally and stuck around is our annul steps challenge, which encourages people to be active, form teams, and have fun together. It´s become a lighthearted way to promote healthier routines and build team spirit. In one edition, we took things further by partnering with Galp – that year, every step counted toward a good cause, with our total converted into meals for people in need. It added a meaningful layer to the challenge and made each step feel more connected to something bigger.
We also value sharing knowledge and creating an environment where people can learn from each other beyond work boundaries. That´s why we host regular internal sessions where anyone can present topic – whether technical, creative, or personal. These moments help keep our culture open, curious, and collaborative.
A meaningful part of our social efforts is our partnership with Fundação Gil, a foundation that supports children and families in vulnerable situations. Through this collaboration, we help sustain their work, but also bring benefits to our own team. Employees can access therapy sessions for their children and also have access to join Fundação Gil´s summer campus.
We also welcome international interns from top universities every year. They join us for a few months to learn more about portuguese companies and working culture. These exchanges bring fresh perspectives to the team and create valuable learning opportunities on both sides.
We do believe in acting on what we care about. Whether it´s supporting a cause, sharing knowledge, or just finding ways to make work life a little more human, these social actions reflect the kind of company we´re trying to be.
