To improve the way organizations monitor and manage their cybersecurity landscape, AdvanceWorks developed two interconnected web portals: one for Frontoffice users and another for Backoffice administration. These portals were designed to provide a comprehensive and modular interface for both client-side visibility and administrative control.
The Frontoffice portal serves end-users by providing access to critical security information—such as real-time incident reports, fraudulent website alerts, certificate expiration monitoring, and dashboards offering a full view of their security status. It delivers a seamless experience for users seeking actionable cybersecurity insights.
The Backoffice portal is focused on administrative configuration. It allows secure management of users, clients, groups, and permissions, ensuring that each user only accesses information relevant to them. Rule definitions and client-specific settings are centralized here to govern the behavior of the Frontoffice portal.
Built on a micro frontend and micro backend architecture, the portals are highly modular, allowing standalone components to be shared across both platforms. Technologies include Angular 18, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Keycloak for robust identity and access management.
Team Collaboration
A team of six, including three expert frontend developers, led the implementation of the solution. Working in Agile sprints, the team focused on delivering high-performance, intuitive interfaces. Collaboration between UI/UX specialists, backend engineers, and security experts ensured that each component met both usability and cybersecurity standards.
Goals Achieved
Results
The portals have significantly enhanced how clients interact with their cybersecurity data, enabling faster response to threats and better governance of user access. By combining real-time monitoring with centralized administrative control, the system increased operational efficiency and reduced security management complexity across organizations.
Next Steps
Continued improvements to the rule engine and third-party integrations will further strengthen the platform’s ability to serve diverse cybersecurity needs.
