A leading European bank, renowned for its innovation, embarked on a 5-year transformation program aiming to redefine customer experience in the finance industry. With 9 million customers and a vision for the best omnichannel journey, the bank sought to revolutionize business processes and deploy advanced technology.
As part of this transformation, AdvanceWorks actively contributes to the Enterprise Data Platform architecture. Responsibilities include defining the framework, conducting proof-of-concepts (POCs) for tool validation, executing data migration and leading multivendor teams in developing critical software components, primarily microservices. The objective is to leverage data streams from various sources for real-time insights, facilitating a seamless omnichannel experience tailored to individual customer needs.

Team Collaboration 

A collaborative effort involving 35 professionals from diverse providers, with AdvanceWorks contributing a skilled team of developers, business analysts and a Project Manager. This multifaceted team ensures the successful execution of the transformation program.

Goals Achieved 

The main goals for this project were: 

• Transform and centralize client information from disparate sources into a unified system.
• Provide information services that enable a true omnichannel customer journey, personalized user interfaces and targeted messaging.
• Create POC to evaluate and select the most effective tools and frameworks for various use cases
• Design optimized data pipelines to ensure seamless feeding of high-quality data into AI training models

Results
The ongoing collaboration has facilitated significant progress in reshaping the bank’s data infrastructure. This includes the successful migration and centralization of client information, resulting in an increase of operational efficiency for several applications.

NextSteps 
Continuing forward, the focus will be on refining and expanding the implemented solutions. This involves further optimization of microservices, continuous validation of the chosen tools and iterative enhancements to the Enterprise Data Platform.
